Stork Technical Services secures significant subsea contract win

Wednesday, Feb 06, 2013

Stork Technical Services, the leading global provider of knowledge-based asset integrity management services for the oil and gas, chemical and power sectors, today announces the company has secured more than £15 million of new work with a major North Sea operator in the past month.

The contract award will see Stork’s subsea team deliver a range of integrated subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) workscopes, including thruster change outs, over a five month period utilising ROV’s and air / nitrox diving from dive intervention craft and dive support vessels.

The services will be delivered from a combination of bespoke dive intervention craft and the company’s dedicated dive support vessel; ADAMS VISION (AV). The crafts are equipped with a range of advanced technology.  The AV has been upgraded to include a complete air/nitrox diving spread, allowing diving operations to be carried out from the DSV.

Stork’s dive intervention craft have been deployed on major subsea projects across the globe and are expected to generate revenues of more than £10million alone throughout 2013.

Roddy James, Director of Stork Technical Services Subsea, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this new business and it is testament to the skills, expertise and experience of our team. Our complete subsea IRM package utilising, which our extensive vessel fleet and excellent onshore and offshore teams, means we are experiencing significant demand for our services.

“We are committed to operating in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner and our investment in our dive intervention craft are an excellent example of this. The craft provide a safe, field proven method for delivering subsea IRM in areas that may be hard to reach or situated close to a rig for a DSV to access. “
