RRC Controls awarded subsea controls supply contract for Premier Oil’s Solan

Premier Oil (Premier) have awarded RRC Controls a £2.5million contract for the
detailed design and manufacture of a four well subsea control system for the Solan
oil field.

The Solan field is located on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf, West of Shetland in approximately 135m water depth.

The scope of supply includes topsides control station, five subsea control modules, infield jumpers and other associated equipment. The complete system will be delivered to Premier Oil in Q2 2013 from RRC’s engineering and manufacturing headquarters in
Gourdon, Inverbervie.

RRC’s Managing Director, Ray Connelly, said “We are delighted that Premier Oil has
awarded the subsea control system for this high profile Greenfield development to RRC. The award highlights RRC’s ability to deliver high quality and reliable subsea control systems for new or existing oil and gas developments in a very short timescale. This builds on our existing relationship with Premier Oil as where we have been supporting subsea production on the Balmoral field for several years."
